LABORATORY AND IN-SITU EXPERIMENTAL TESTS
CiviTest has a laboratory with equipment designed to carry out several tests (accredited by IPAC) for the civil construction industry, for the quality control of materials and constructive systems, and for research and development activities regarding new materials and innovative constructive solutions. CiviTest has equipment and human resources for executing inspection and diagnosis activities for assessing the behaviour of the built environment using standard techniques or approaches that are designed according to the specificities of each case.

DESIGN
CiviTest has a highly qualified technical staff on the design of buildings and infrastructures, and solutions for the strengthening and rehabilitation of the built environment. The competences include: the conception of the constructive systems and the strengthening and rehabilitation solutions by using the solid formation of the team on the behaviour of traditional and new materials; the integrated design supported on the competences of the staff on the advanced numerical modelling and on the knowledge of the national and international design standards; and the installation of monitoring systems.

Since its foundation, CiviTest has been demonstrating special skills on the domains of generating knowledge, design, development, characterization of the behaviour and quality control of cement- and polymer-based materials. Proof of this fact are the development of numerous research and development services for several international and national companies involving the use of fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) and constructive systems in fibre reinforced polymer (FRP). Invitations received by CiviTest to participate in several applied research projects in collaboration with private companies and public research institutions are also directly related with the demonstration of these capabilities. In view of this, there is a continuous investment in the acquisition of equipment for the CiviTest Laboratory, and a strong commitment to the continuous training of its technical staff, in order to be prepared for the highest demands regarding experimental research, from the material to the structure, and on the development of analytical models and scientific software.
