CiviTest to attend ExpoMix2016 – Moscow

CiviTest will be present at the “Dry Mixtures, Concretes and Mortars – ExpoMix” held in Moscow (Russia) between November 30 and December 2, 2016.
At the invitation of the organization will be given a public presentation on the LEGOUSE project, where Civitest was responsible for developing and characterizing fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (BACRF). LEGOUSE is a modular construction consisting of the assembly of sandwich panels formed by external layers of BACRF, thermal insulation core, and fiberglass connectors.
Presentation Summary:
“By taking advantage of the appropriate use of cement and polymer-based materials and advanced computational tools, the pre-fabricated affordable house was built in a modular system. (GFRP) connectors, resulting in a panel with adequate structural, acoustic, and thermal insulation properties. a typical family of six members, but its living area can be easily increased by assembling other pre-fabricated elements. The speed of construction and the cost of the constructive elements make these houses competitive when compared to traditional solutions.
In this work the relevant research subjacent to this project (LEGOUSE) is described, as well as the construction process of the built real scale prototype. “
